Happy Monday! I’m back in Boston now… form one cold place to another! It’s nice to start fresh over here in 2014, and a fresh start means fresh clothes. This dress was a christmas gift and it is so fun! I love the patterns, which reminds me of my grandmothers, and the swing cut is so vintage. I can’t wait to rewear it- it’s so comfortable! I couldn’t find it online (boo) but the similar options are all great as well.

Have you been enjoying the New Year and wearing/using all of your new gifts? I have been! Thanks for reading and many thanks to my dad for taking my photos in the freezing weather… again!

¡Feliz lunes! He regresado a Boston ahora… viajé desde un lugar frío a otro jaja. Estoy contenta a estar en mi propia casa otra vez, empezando de nuevo en el año nuevo (aunque pronto me voy a México!).  Me encanta este vestido, que fue un regalo de la navidad. Me hace pensar en mis abuelas por el estampado y corte… el estilo swing es súper cómodo y antiguo, y es un tipo de vestido que no he tenido antes. Me imagino que, durante el verano, sería súper divertido llevar un vestido tan flojo, no? No lo encontré en línea (pero está en las tiendas ahora) pero las otras opciones son semejantes.

Han tenido un agradable año nuevo?  Están llevando todos sus nuevos reglaos? Yo sí! :) Gracias por leer, y gracias a mi padre por sacar mis fotos otra vez!

I’m feeling super preppy in this look, probably because of the white collar and polkadot sweater. It’s too cold to wear one layer (yes, still!) so I added this fun, new bedazzled blouse to give me an extra bit of warmth. Matt got me this blouse as part of a Christmas gift and I love it so so much. I usually can’t find blouses that are long enough, but this one has great length and a good fit. And I love the beading up top! I opted for my flat, OTK boots instead of booties because I almost wiped out a few times when I last wore my booties (yikes!). It isn’t my standard look, but I like the preppy-feel of this outfit!

Me siento pija hoy en este look, quiza por el cuello blanco y el suéter. Hace demasiado frío para llevar simplemente un suéter (sí, todavía) así que añadí esta blusa con cuentas, que amo (fue un regalo de la navidad de Matt y me queda muy bien. Es larga también, que prefiero en mis blusas). Me encanta que el cuello destella un poco. Opté por mi botas sin tacones porque casi me caí el otro día en mis tacones :/. Aunque no es lo típico llevar un look súper pijo, me gusta esta ropa.

Happy 2014! I hope you had a great start to your year and enjoyed a fun celebration on NYE. I’m starting off the year in warm, comfortable layers since I am sick! :/ I recently wore this sweater when I first arrived to Michigan with another sweater to brace myself for the extra cold weather here. Well, it hasn’t stopped snowing since I’ve arrived so this sweater has been a useful and necessary addition to my wardrobe. It was a great steal at Marshalls and I’ve carried it in my bag to throw on throughout the week!

I hope you’re staying warm and are enjoying tying up these holidays. I can’t believe my vacation is almost over and I will be back to Boston at the end of the week.  Time flies! Thanks for reading!.

¡Feliz año 2014! Espero que hayan tenido un buen comienzo a este año. Estoy empezando mi nuevo año con ropa cómoda ya que estoy enferma. :/ Me gusta este suéter y lo usé hace una semana, cuando llegué a Michigan. Parece que no va a dejar de nevar así que capas, como este suéter, son útiles y necesarios en estos días. Este suéter es una ganga que encontré en Marshalls y lo traigo conmigo, en mi bolso, para los días cuando me encuentro con frío- es perfecto. 

Espero que estén bien y felices durante estos últimos días festivos. ¡No puedo creer que en unos días estaré en Boston otra vez! Gracias por leer y hasta mañana.

Happy Monday! I hope you’re all doing well and had a great weekend. We celebrated Christmas with both my immediate family and my Dad’s side this weekend (between a nurse, hockey player, and pilot…. it’s a little difficult to celebrate on the day-of the holiday some times!) and it was so much fun. I think between all of the excitement and running between parties with my family and Matt’s, I got a littttle run down, so I’m feeling a little sick today! Good thing I’m at home so my parents can take care of me haha :)

I wore this look (well, a variation of it) twice already since I’ve been home to Michigan. Today I’ve layered the dress with a turtleneck  and threw on my OTK boots because it is a whopping 16* outside. I’ve also worn it without the turtleneck (because it was 40 yesterday!) and with heeled booties as well- anyway I wear it, I love it. Tunic tops and short dresses are always my favorite go-to’s to grab when I have a little get-together, or am running errands, because I feel put-together but so comfortable. This mini dress was a great find at Forever 21 over a year ago (I made my friend Alina buy it, too- it was too great to pass up!) and I wish it had come in more colors. If you spend time to look, you can really find some great little pieces at F21, Boohoo.com and Lulu*s!

Anywho, my plan was to keep this short and simple so I could rest so that’s all for me! I know New Years Eve is right around the corner so I will pull some looks for that tomorrow. Happy Monday everyone! Oh and I can’t forget to thank my Dad for standing in the cold to take my pictures :)

Feliz lunes! Espero que estén bien. Celebramos la Navidad con mi familia íntima y la familia de mi padre este fin de semana (entre una enfermera, un piloto, y un jugador de hockey, es difícil tener tiempo durante el día festivo para celebrar a veces) y nos divertimos mucho. También tuvimos una reunión con la familia de Matt así que estuve súper ocupada este fin de semana y ahora me siento un poco enferma. Peor por suerte estoy en casa de mis padres así que me cuidan muy bien :) 

Llevé este look (pues, unas variaciones del look) dos veces durante mi tiempo en Michigan. Hoy combino mi vestido con una camisa con cuello alto y botas porque estamos en 16* F… que frío! He usado este vestido sin la camisa abajo, y con botitas con tacones para un look de la noche también. Cualquier manera que lo llevo, estoy contenta con este vestido porque me siento pulida y cómoda a la vez. Siempre busco túnicas o vestidos cortos así para llevar con medias porque son fáciles y lindos, y F21, Boohoo.com y Lulu*s siempre tienen unas buenas selecciones. 

Bueno, no iba a escribir mucho hoy ya que me siento mal así que les dejo con este look y les deseo un feliz lunes. Mañana les mostraré un look para el Año Nuevo. Ay y uiero agradecerle a mi padre por sacar mis fotos hoy durante este clima frío… gracias papito!! :)

TGIF! Hope you had a great week, I just got home to Michigan and am settling in. I had my sister snap these right as it was growing dark outside, for a quick look at what I wore in the airport. As you saw here, I almost always wear a lot of layers when I’m flying, and carry a big tote. I typically shoot for comfortable pieces, like stretchy jeans or leggings. This not only makes being in a confined space for an extended period of time more enjoyable (yes, stretchy jeans do make a difference!), but it is practical to have the ability to add/take away from your look. Any who, this look isn’t anything too special, but it if perfect for a casual day of errands and/or travel. Who doesn’t love polka dots?!

I’m off to wrap, wrap, wrap and get ready for my sister’s annual holiday party this weekend. What are your plans… Any last minute shopping!? Thanks for reading!

¡TGIF! Espero que hayan tenido una buena semana. Acabo de llegar a Michigan y mi hermana Megan sacó estas fotos cuando ya salió el sol. Tenía ganas de mostrarles mi look en el aeropuerto, que fue perfecto para viajar. Ya saben que normalmente llevo muchas capas y traigo un bolso cuando viajo por esta entrada. Es que las capas son prácticas y siempre necesito un bolso grande. También escojo pantalones cómodos, osea, los que se estiran, para ayudarme a estar cómoda mientras que estoy confinada en un lugar pequeño tras horas jaja. Pues, este look no es nada especial de hecho, pero es útil y lindo para un día casual de viajar o de hacer recados. ¡Y me encantan los lunares! 

Ahora estoy envolviendo mis reglaos para la navidad y preparandome para le fiesta anual de la navidad de me hermana. ¿Qué hacen ustedes.. tienen que comprara regalos todavía? Gracias por leer…

Today is the dayyyy… I am currently on my way to Michigan wahoo! Matt and I shot this look the other day and I was very close to falling multiple times. Don’t worry, I didn’t actually move around outside in these heels beyond the photos (that’s what Ugg boots are for!). Really, I wish I had some booties for this look, because these heels didn’t fit it, in my opinion. My old booties are still in Michigan from my Thanksgiving trip and a new pair I ordered are still on their way. I linked a few pairs I looove though.. check them out above! Other than that, the pants do all the talking in this look. Leather and lace? Um, yes please!

Sooo.. I am basically on vacation mode now, which means i am all done typing for tonight. I’ve got to finish-up packing and figure out how I’m going to lug my 50lb suitcase through the snow to make it on the T… (um, may have to opt for a cab haha!). Hoy es el día… ahora mismo estoy en camino a Michigan yey! Matt y yo sacamos estas fotos el otro día y les confeso, como han notado en la última foto, que casi me caí varias veces. No llevé estos tacones para caminar de un lugar al otro.. uso mis botas Ugg para caminar entre la nieve y el hielo. Me encantaría haber tenido unas botas negras para este look, pero desafortunadamente las viejas, las dejé en la casa de mis padres en Michigan, y las nuevas que acabo de comprar todavía no han llegado. Pues hice unos links a unas botas que amo para que sepan como me hubiera gustado aparecer en este look jaja. Bueno, el detalle, o la pieza, más interesante e importante (según yo) de este look es la combinación de piel y encaje en mis pantalones. Estos pantalones son súper únicos y por eso, tuve que comprarlos mientras que fui de compras con mi amiga Sivan hace unas semanas. 

Entoncessss… ahora estoy de vacaciones así que ya no tengo ganas de escribir nada más :) Tengo que hacer un plan de acción para traer mi maleta, que pesa 50 libras, sobre la nieve para que pueda subir el T (O… quizá debo llamar a un taxi, no?) Muchas gracias por leer y feliz día!
