Happy 2014! I hope you had a great start to your year and enjoyed a fun celebration on NYE. I’m starting off the year in warm, comfortable layers since I am sick! :/ I recently wore this sweater when I first arrived to Michigan with another sweater to brace myself for the extra cold weather here. Well, it hasn’t stopped snowing since I’ve arrived so this sweater has been a useful and necessary addition to my wardrobe. It was a great steal at Marshalls and I’ve carried it in my bag to throw on throughout the week!

I hope you’re staying warm and are enjoying tying up these holidays. I can’t believe my vacation is almost over and I will be back to Boston at the end of the week.  Time flies! Thanks for reading!.

¡Feliz año 2014! Espero que hayan tenido un buen comienzo a este año. Estoy empezando mi nuevo año con ropa cómoda ya que estoy enferma. :/ Me gusta este suéter y lo usé hace una semana, cuando llegué a Michigan. Parece que no va a dejar de nevar así que capas, como este suéter, son útiles y necesarios en estos días. Este suéter es una ganga que encontré en Marshalls y lo traigo conmigo, en mi bolso, para los días cuando me encuentro con frío- es perfecto. 

Espero que estén bien y felices durante estos últimos días festivos. ¡No puedo creer que en unos días estaré en Boston otra vez! Gracias por leer y hasta mañana.

TGIF! Hope you had a great week, I just got home to Michigan and am settling in. I had my sister snap these right as it was growing dark outside, for a quick look at what I wore in the airport. As you saw here, I almost always wear a lot of layers when I’m flying, and carry a big tote. I typically shoot for comfortable pieces, like stretchy jeans or leggings. This not only makes being in a confined space for an extended period of time more enjoyable (yes, stretchy jeans do make a difference!), but it is practical to have the ability to add/take away from your look. Any who, this look isn’t anything too special, but it if perfect for a casual day of errands and/or travel. Who doesn’t love polka dots?!

I’m off to wrap, wrap, wrap and get ready for my sister’s annual holiday party this weekend. What are your plans… Any last minute shopping!? Thanks for reading!

¡TGIF! Espero que hayan tenido una buena semana. Acabo de llegar a Michigan y mi hermana Megan sacó estas fotos cuando ya salió el sol. Tenía ganas de mostrarles mi look en el aeropuerto, que fue perfecto para viajar. Ya saben que normalmente llevo muchas capas y traigo un bolso cuando viajo por esta entrada. Es que las capas son prácticas y siempre necesito un bolso grande. También escojo pantalones cómodos, osea, los que se estiran, para ayudarme a estar cómoda mientras que estoy confinada en un lugar pequeño tras horas jaja. Pues, este look no es nada especial de hecho, pero es útil y lindo para un día casual de viajar o de hacer recados. ¡Y me encantan los lunares! 

Ahora estoy envolviendo mis reglaos para la navidad y preparandome para le fiesta anual de la navidad de me hermana. ¿Qué hacen ustedes.. tienen que comprara regalos todavía? Gracias por leer…

Hello and happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. We finally got some real snow here in Boston, and i am quite pleased! I mean, if it’s going to be cold out, then we might as well have something pretty and fluffy to look at. The only issue is that the snow became slush and then froze over so it’s a little dangerous outside, which is why I stayed mainly on the steps in the pictures. This sweater is one that I am so glad to have purchased. Really, it is a giant box, but it is so comfortable and I think the oversized look is almost chic (for sure it would be with booties!). It will be easy to wear alone or to layer, and its neutral tone allows me to mix it with a lot. These are the boots I got at Marshalls wahoo- I needed a new pair of riding boots, and I loved the over-the-knee style of these. The difference of wear my old boots and these is incredible- ohh how nice it is to have really leather and some foot padding! I have happy feet now :) I’m happy to have found them on Piperlime as well… so you can snag them up!

¡Hola y feliz lunes! Espero que hayan tenido un agradable fin de semana. Por fin nevó este fin de semana en Boston y de verdad, estoy contenta. Es que, si va a hacer frío, mejor tener un poco nieve y algo bonito, no? El único problema es que se congeló la nieve y ahora hay hielo por las calles. Por eso, sacamos las fotos en el porche y nos quedamos adentro del apartamento por casi todo el día. Llevé este suéter y me encantaba, aunque es gigante. Es súper cómodo y creo que podría ser chic también (especialmente con botitas o tacones!). Lo puedo combinar con camisas y muchos colores así que sé que voy a llevarlo mucho en los días fríos que vienen. Y… !! Estas son las botas que compré en Marshalls yipee! Necesité otro par de botas y me gusta el estilo de estas, que suben las rodillas. La diferencia entre botas nuevas y mis viejas es increíble… ahora tengo pies súper felices!  También están en Piperlime, así que puedan comprarlas también. :)

Helllooo! I hope you’re having a great day! I was looking through my closet last night in an attempt to wear a shirt that I haven’t used in a bit and I came upon this floral blouse. I love this shirt for its feminine pattern, pretty tones, and fun layers. When I pulled it out I happened to glance over and see this faux leather jacket, and I knew the pair would be great together. This jacket is really edgy with the zippers and asymmetrical cut, creating the perfect contrast against the girly, floral blouse. I debated between my oversized flare jeans or these skinnies (which I know I wear a ton, but they are so comfortable) and opted for skinnies so I could wear boots (gotta keep the toes warm!). This look was casual and cute and I was warm and comfortable throughout the day. I would typically wear this blouse in summer (last time I wore it in Mexico) but this jacket proved to be the perfect addition to winterize this shirt. Don’t you love that?!

¡Hola!! Espero estén bien. Buscaba anoche entre mi ropa para encontrar una blusa que no he llevado hace mucho tiempo y escogí esta blusa floral. Me gusta el estampado y los colores de esta blusa, además que el corte. Después de agarrar la blusa, por pura casualidad vi esta chaqueta de piel imitación. Tuve muchas ganas de combinar las dos piezas simplemente por el contraste que crearían juntas. mientras que la blusa es femenina, la chaqueta es llamativa y edgy con su corte asimétrico y las cremalleras. Debatía entre mis pantalones ajustados y los acampanados pero elegí los de pitillo (aunque sé que los llevo demasiado!) porque así podía ponerme las botas. Este look es informal sino bonito y estaba muy cómodo entre todo el día. Típicamente llevaría esta blusa durante el verano (La llevé aquí en México) pero me gusta que puedo combinarla con una chaqueta para utilizarla durante los meses fríos.

Hello… I think I forgot to ever say Happy December! Can’t believe how fast November flew by! Matt and I snapped these pictures quickly in the airport because we were stuck there allll day on Monday, trying to get back to Boston. We were rushing because we thought we would get a standby pas on the upcoming flight… turned out we didn’t get on a flight until 6 hours later! Yikes! We’re glad to have made it back though :) This outfit was perfect for the airport. I’m all about layers because sometimes i have an ice-box for a flight, and sometimes it’s a sauna! Layers let me easily stay at a good temperature… And hey! Can you tell I am half asleep here?! Hah! Whoops…

Hola… no creo que les dije feliz diciembre todavía… pues no puedo creer que ya pasó noviembre! Mateo y yo regresamos a Boston ayer y sacamos estas fotos en el aeropuerto de Detroit. Las sacamos rápidamente porque pensamos que íbamos a abordar el avión (pues, de verdad no podíamos abordar hasta 6 horas después de que sacamos las fotos jaja!). Pues, aunque esperamos mucho ayer en el aeropuerto, estamos felices que pudimos regresar a Boston sin problemas. Este look fue perfecto para el aeropuerto porque tiene capas. Es que nunca sé como estarían mis vuelos- a veces son como congeladores y otras veces son más como saunas… así que con una bufanda, un chaleco y un suéter puedo o ponerme o quitarme ropa para estar cómoda. Oye… se han notado que estoy medio dormida en estas fotas? Jaja! Oops :)
