Emerald, or green in general, is not a color I have much of in my closet. This makes no sense because both my high school and college school colors were green & white. Maybe all of the school spirit through the years pushed me away from buying green items, but I’m so glad to be out of that swing now. I loooove this emerald top! I’ve worn it before, with another colorful necklace (wow, the outfits are actually almost identical… oops!) and I will continue to wear it. If you read yesterday’s post, you know that I also recently bought a kelly green sweater and hunter green pants. Boom! Lots of green here, in all shades!

Speaking of yesterday’s post… did I really just show you the same necklace  and heels two days in a row? Yes I did, thankyouverymuch. I didn’t wear these back-to-back, just got my posts all mixed around! So I wore this necklace with a pink blouse before, and when I rewore it with this green top I received double the compliments. For whatever reason the colors popped dramatically with this blouse! Which top do you prefer this necklace with- yesterday’s light pink, or today’s emerald green?

Esmeralda, o verde en general, no es un color que tengo en mi closet. No tiene sentido porque ambas mi prepa y la universidad usaron los colores verde y blanco.  Aunque no tenía ganas de llevar verde durante años, estoy contenta que ahora sí quiero llevarlo. Me encanta esta blusa esmeralda. La he usado en esta entrada, en un look que parece mucho a este jaja oops! Sigo usandola porque el color es vibrante y me queda bien. Si leyeron la entrada de ayer, saben que acabo de comprar unos pantalones verdes oscuros y un suéter verde brillante. ¡Ay! ¡Mucho verde… de todas formas y sombras!

Hablando de la entrada de ayer… ¿Les mostré el mismo collar y tacones dos días consecutivamente?! Jaja, sí, lo hice, muchasgracias. No llevé estos looks uno atrás del otro, pero mis entradas son de cualquier orden. Bueno- llevé este collar con una blusa rosada clara, y cuando lo reutilicé recibí muchos más cumplidos.. creo que el verde esmeralda acentúa los colores de las gemas para crear un look drástico. ¿Cuál prefieren… el collar con la blusa rosada o la esmeralda?

This post is dedicated to those of you working gals who have a little less lenient of a dress-code, but still crave some fun in your wardrobe. Throwing on polka dots is an easy way to create a playful look, while still maintaining a professional silhouette in a blouse. Animal print shoes, with a reasonable heel height, are perfectly acceptable and add a definite flair to your look. and lastly.. if you have to wear a blazer, why not make it colored?! I love a bold hue, just like this red blazer from UO. I think Urban Outfitters may be my favorite place for blazers.. they always fit perfectly and the sleeves are a great length for wearing long, or folding! Oh! and as for the pants… rather than a boot-cut trouser, I opted for a cropped capri- these pants are a great material, oh-so-comfortable (you know I love that!) and yet polished. Try them out!

Este post esta dedicado a ustedes que trabajan en un lugar en donde no se puede llevar exactamente lo que quieras por un atuendo apropiado estricto, pero todavía tienen ganas de llevar ropa divertida y de moda. Llevando una blusa con estampadas, especialmente a lunares, mantiene un look profesional mientras que añade unos detalles nuevos y divertidos. Los tacones de estampada animal, que no deben ser demasiados altos (no parece profesional llevar tacones con plataformas grandes), pueden añadir un toque extra a una combinación básica y aumentar su look. Y pues si tienen que llevar un blazer, porque no llevarlo de colores, verdad? M eencantan los colores llamativos, como este blazer rojo de Urban Outfittes. Creo que UO vende los mejores blazers porque me quedan súper lindos y las mangas son perfectas en cuanto a la longitud. ¡Ay! Y los pantalones… los escondí porque no son de estilo “boot-cut” sino que corto, que es moderno, profesional, y bien cómodo. ¡Pruébanlos, ya!

Sooo… confession: I really wasn’t sure how I felt about this outfit because it is really… colorful. But, I always love to try and play with my color choices and in this case, I’ve got two of our primary hues here. I haven’t used these pants much after buying them in May on clearance (sorry for the late showing!) but I am thinking that needs to change because they are really comfortable and they’re a big showstopper. I love the vibrant hue! Paired with my favorite new heels form Marshalls and this lovely birdies top, and this outfit is as cheerful as can be. I don’t have much else to say besides have a wonderful, colorful weekend! :) Oh and, HAPPY FRIDAY TIMES 1 MILLION!! Wahoo!!

Les tengo que confesar que cuando me puse este look tenía dudas porque, pues, es súper colorido. Pero, siempre trato de crear nuevas combinaciones y hoy les muestro una combinación de dos de los colores primarios, rojo y azul. Otra confesión: no he usado estos pantalones mucho desde que los compré de descuento en mayo (oops) pero ahora tengo muchas ganas de llevarlos otra vez porque son una pieza “show-stopper” y súper cómodos también. El color de los pantalones combinado con estos tacones azules de Marshalls crea un look muy feliz y brillante… me encanta. No tengo nada más para contarles sino que espero que tengan un lindo y colorido fin de semana! :) Y FELIZ VIERNES POR 1 MILLON! Wahoo!

We can just forget the outfit today and focus on the accessories, because, really, that’s what I revolved my clothing selection on. Can we talk about how fabulous these Grace Cooper earrings are? They are a gorgeous and intricate mix of lavender, teal and mustard. I love everything about them, and found it hard to decide which top I would wear with them first (so many contenders!). And while they are a larger drop earrings, they aren’t heavy, so I can wear them all day without any discomfort. These earrings, along with the fun suede shorts seen here, were gifted to me from Grace Cooper, a boutique that you all can shop online. I love the boutique and the pieces I’ve received even more. I highly suggest you check it out! :)

Podemos olvidarnos sobre mi ropa hoy y enfocarnos en mis accesorios porque, de verdad, son más importante y la razón que escondí mi ropa hoy. ¿En serio, podemos hablar sobre estos aretes de Grace Cooper… son fabulosos, no? Son una mezcla perfecta de amarillo de mostaza, verde azulado y lila y me encanta cada detalle que tienen. Era difícil esconder mi blusa hoy porque los aretes combina muy bien con una variedad de colores (obviamente!) y por eso tenía muchas aspirantes ;) Y aunque los aretes son llamativos y grandes, no pesan mucho así que son cómodos llevar todo el día. Estos aretes, además que los cortos de gamuza visto aquí, son regalos del boutique Grace Cooper. Me encanta la tienda y todas las piezas que vende… deben de ver su tienda!

And yet another look with dots & spots!! … I swear I won’t wear polkadots for a week… :) I wore this spotted tee to a casual breakfast on Matt’s birthday at a creperie. Mmm we love nutella, strawberry & banana crepes! :) I didn’t think much about this look because we just wanted to go get our food (yummy) and walk around Coolidge Corner (favorite neighborhood). We celebrated all weekend long so a sweet brunch treat was the perfect way to top off his 26th birthday. (Just kidding… we’re not done celebrating yet!).

Y mas lunares!… Les juro que no voy a llevar nada con una estampada a lunares por muchos días jaja :) Llevé esta camiseta para ir a un desayuno con Matt para su cumpleaños. El desayuno era muy informal porque comimos en un crepería.. mmm fresas, bananas y nutela que rico! No sabía mucho de mi look porque teníamos hambre y sólo queríamos ir a comer jaja… y caminar entre nuestro vecindario favorito (Coolidge Corner). Festejamos todo el fin de semana así que un desayuno almuerzo fue perfecto para rematar su celebración… (miento.. todavía seguimos celebrando!)
