And yet another look with dots & spots!! … I swear I won’t wear polkadots for a week… :) I wore this spotted tee to a casual breakfast on Matt’s birthday at a creperie. Mmm we love nutella, strawberry & banana crepes! :) I didn’t think much about this look because we just wanted to go get our food (yummy) and walk around Coolidge Corner (favorite neighborhood). We celebrated all weekend long so a sweet brunch treat was the perfect way to top off his 26th birthday. (Just kidding… we’re not done celebrating yet!).

Y mas lunares!… Les juro que no voy a llevar nada con una estampada a lunares por muchos días jaja :) Llevé esta camiseta para ir a un desayuno con Matt para su cumpleaños. El desayuno era muy informal porque comimos en un crepería.. mmm fresas, bananas y nutela que rico! No sabía mucho de mi look porque teníamos hambre y sólo queríamos ir a comer jaja… y caminar entre nuestro vecindario favorito (Coolidge Corner). Festejamos todo el fin de semana así que un desayuno almuerzo fue perfecto para rematar su celebración… (miento.. todavía seguimos celebrando!)

For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you already know that Matthew & I got engaged this past weekend! So exciting! I will write more about the story later this week, and today I’ll leave you with some photos of the first half of our fun adventure. Matt surprised me and told me to wear a “shirt and jeans and some comfy shoes” and no other details, so I grabbed my favorite destroyed denim from JCrew, my over-used and over-loved sandals from DSW and this simple crochet blouse from F21. Little did I know how creative he was in planning a fun filled day! This outfit was great for walking around Chatham (the cute little town we went to in Cape Cod) and even riding bikes. The first half of the day was relaxing (for me at least) with the Cape’s cool breeze and soooo so fun. I can’t say thank you and I love you, Matt enough- he really put so much effort into this weekend!

We are both still so excited and a bit tired from what happened during the second half of the day, so I’ll leave this post here. Below is a sneak peak of our story! :)

Para los que me siguen en Instagram, ya saben que Matt y yo nos comprometimos este fin de semana pasada!!! Muy emocionante! Escribiré más de esa historia más tarde y hoy les dejo con unas fotos divertidas de nuestra aventura. Mateo me sorprendió con un viaje a Cape Cod, pero por la mañana simplemente me dijo que necesitaba llevar algo muy cómodo para caminar, unos jeans y una camisa- nada más. Sin muchos detalles, elegí mis jeans favoritos de JCrew, una blusa de encaje de F21 y mis sandalias favoritas (que uso y amo demasiado) de DSW. No me imaginaba todas las actividades creativas que íbamos a hacer juntos durante el día y este look fue perfecto para un camino por la ciudad y aún un paseo en bici. La primera parte del día era muy relajante (para mí) con una brisa rica y nos divertimos un montón. No puedo agradecerle a Matt suficiente por hacer un gran esfuerzo en los planes del fin de… ¡era lo máximo!

I can call this look “dugout style” because players who aren’t on the field cooouuuld potentially wear faux leather sleeves, aviators, and platforms heels… Right? Hah! Summer always reminds me of baseball as I grew up playing softball during the warmer months with the best coach (my dad!). While we didn’t wear platform heels or faux leather sleeves back then, this look is definitely still inspired by the contrast sleeve tops, ball caps, and the rugged jeans.

I say I love “unexpected” looks on this blog a lot, and that’s because they push me out of my comfort zone. Having this blog has made me be creative with my looks, and this is a great example. I could have easily just worn this top casually, but after thinking in a new direction, there are more feminine aspects to it. I have to say… I like the look just as much as I like baseball… which is a lot! :)

Puedo llamar este look “dugout style” porque los jugadores quien no están jugando en el campo podrían quizás llevar mangas de cuero imitación, gafas de sol, y tacones… verdad? Jaja! El verano siempre me recuerda del béisbol poque de niña jugaba con el mejor entrenador (mi padre!). Aunque no llevábamos ni tacones ni mangas de cuero imitación en aquel entonces, este look, sin duda, es inspirado por los colores contrastes de las camisetas, los gorros de béisbol, y los jeans rotos.

Digo que amo los looks inesperados mucho porque me hacen perder mi elemento un poquito. Este blog me ha hecho ser más creativa con mis looks y este look es un ejemplo: un estilo que podría haber llevado completamente informal, pero con un poco esfuerza, tiene un aspecto femenino. Me gusta este look tanto que béisbol.. que es mucho! :)

I love an effortless spring look! This outfit is comfortable, semi-casual, and a bit glamorous. Dressing up destroyed boyfriend jeans and a plain tee with wedges and a statement necklace is so easy and the results seem to always look great.  This outfit is made more for a warm spring.. one much warmer than what Boston’s experiencing, but hey, a girl can dream, right?! I would pair this with a white blazer if it were to chilly.  Hopefully I won’t have to soon! It’s so funny of the weather has such a huge influence on our clothing, isn’t it!? Thanks for reading!

Me encanta un look “sin esfuerzo” para la primavera. Este look es cómoda, informal, y un poco glamoroso. Me gusta combinar los jeans del novio destruidos y camisetas con tacones y collares llamativos.  Es fácil l hacer, y siempre parece chic. Este look es para un clima más caliente que lo de Boston, pero bueno, se puede soñar, verdad? Si hubiera mucho frío y quería llevar este look, lo combinaría con una chaqueta blanca. El clima tiene una inmensa influencia en nuestra ropa, no? Espero que tengamos lindos días, porque estoy harta de ponerme el abrigo! :) Gracias por leer!
