I forgot to post these pictures from my last morning in Arizona! I am laughing thinking of the fact that I wore a sweater and jeans here, because, while it was a little chilly that morning, it was sooo nice compared to the weather we’re experiencing now! So I didn’t ever really have many sweaters like this, but I’ve recently been investing during sales because of their versatility. The greatest aspect of a simple crew-neck sweater like this is it can be worn over and over again, yet never look the same. This look sports a variety of bold hues like red and blue, but this sweater could easily be paired with pink, chartreuse/yellow, black & white, navy… and that’s just related to a layered undershirt… add in jewelry, bottoms and scarves and these solid sweaters really can be used on the daily. Have I convinced you to consider investing in crew-neck sweaters, yet? Hah!

Se me olvidó mostrarles estas fotos de Arizona… oops! Me hace reír mirandolas porque pienso en el hecho de que llevé un suéter allí en Arizona… aunque hacía fresco, el clima era mucho mejor y caloroso que ahora tenemos jaja. Bueno, nunca tenía suéteres pero recién los compré durante las rebajas por su versatilidad. El mejor aspecto de un suéter así es que puede ser utilizado veces tras veces, y nunca parece igual. Este look muestra una variedad de colores como azul, verde y rojo, pero el verde esmeralda de este suéter puede ser combinado con rosado, amarillo, blanco & negro, azul marino… y ahora sólo hablo sobre las blusas… piensen en las opciones que tendrían con faldas, joyas, pantalones- habría tantas posibilidades! ¿Las he convencido a comprar un suéter ya? jaja!

Whoa baby, it’s already Wednesday! And you know that Wednesdays are for wearing pink! And cobalt blue, apparently! I knew this blouse would match perfectly with my new Frida necklace, which is why I paired them together. It wasn’t until I studied the gorgeous mixture of gems and matte stones that I realized that throwing in some cobalt blue would be a great addition to this look. I’d say that both the necklace and the shoes really give this look a pop, brightening up a standard work outfit.

Thinking of future usage of these items: I want to pair this shirt and this necklace both with two new green items. I have these same pants in hunter green that I think would pair nicely with the pink blouse and some nude heels. I also think this blouse, and necklace, would both look great with a kelly green sweater I bought half off at JCrew Factory as well. Lots of plans for these babies!

¡Ay dios mío! ¡Ya es miércoles! Y saben que los miércoles llevamos rosado… y, aparentemente, azul cobalto jaja. Sabía que este collar combinaría perfectamente con esta blusa, y por eso les muestro este look hoy. Pero, no fue hasta que miré las gemas que noté que hay unas gemas azules en este collar, que combinan muy bien con azul cobalto… por tanto llevar mis tacones favoritos. Diría que ambos el collar y los tacones dan un toque interesante al look, cambiando una look normal del trabajo a uno que tenga un aspecto un poco llamativo. 

Y en pensando del uso de estas piezas: quiero combinar esta blusa y el collar con dos cosas nuevas verdes que tengo. Tengo los pantalones que les muestro aquí en un verde oscuro que creo que combinaría muy bien con tacones neutrales y la blusa rosada. También creo que la blusa, tanto que el collar, combinarían muy bien con un suéter nuevo de verde brillante que compré de descuento en JCrew Factory este fin de semana pasada. Muchos planes para estas piezas de la ropa…. :)

I think it’s safe to say that I 1). love maxi skirts and 2). I love colorful maxi skirts even more. This skirt seriously is amazing- just looking at it you can see all of the colors you could easily pull from it. I’ve worn yellow, cream, white, and now navy with this skirt (and I’ve only had it a year!). I wish you could feel the fabric through the screen too, because it is oh-so-soft. I can’t remember what I exactly paid for it, but I know it was around $20 and well worth it! Gotta love a great deal! I think really though, the best part about this skirt is that, in my opinion, it screams Latin America. All of the vibrant, gorgeous colors are so lively and remind me of one of my favorite areas in the world! :)

Podemos decir que 1). Me encantan faldas maxis y 2). Me encantan faldas maxis con muchos colores. Esta falda es de verdad genia- tiene un montón de colores con que puedes combinar muchas camisas. He usado amarillo, crema, blanco y ahora azul marino (¡y sólo lo he tenido hace un año!). Sería lo máximo si ustedes pudieron tocar el tela porque es súper suave. No me acuerdo cuánto pagué por la falda, pero era más o menos $20… vale la pena, no?! De verdad, la amo porque los colores, en mi opinión, son representantes de América Latina… Todos los colores vibrantes y maravillosos son tan animados y me recuerdan a uno de mis lugares favoritos en el mundo! :)

I somehow found out about the Cambridge Antique Market shortly after moving to Boston and was dying to check it out.  When I finally did last spring, I stumbled upon this beautiful skirt. I immediately fell in love with the pattern and colors and knew I couldn’t pass it up. Talk about love at first site! I’ve worn it with pale yellow, white and cream tops, and today I thought I would try it out with baby blue. I love it all the same! The geometric pattern is really unique, and the fabric is a little heavier, so it is great for the early spring days that carry a chill. There happened to be a ton of wind when we took the photos, which caused my hair to go wacko! My legs stayed warm though (thanks, maxi skirt!)

If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by the CAM.  It is five floors full of unique and interesting pieces. While you probably won’t find this piece, you’ll be sure to find something else that will catch your eye!

No sé como, pero supe del Cambridge Antique Market después de mudarme aquí y tenía muchas ganas de visitarlo. Cuando fui, encontré esta falda maxi hermosa. Inmediatamente me enamoré de la estampada y los colores. Amor por primera vista! La he usado con camisas amarillas, blancas, cremas y ahora de azul claro. Me gustan todas las combinaciones. La estampada es muy especial y distinta. El material es perfecto para la primavera también. Había mucho viento cuando sacamos estas fotos y por eso mi pelo estaba loco.

Si están en Boston/CAmbridge, les recomiendo que visiten a CAM. Tiene cinco pisos llenados de cosas interesantes y únicas. Y aunque no van a encontrar esta falda, les prometo que encontrarán algo muy especial.
