New York City was such a blast! (That is a massive understatement). I can’t believe I had never been before this past weekend… it is sad! Makes me think of all of the other amazing places I have never been to… but I’ll get to them throughout life! :) Anyways, back to NYC… what an amazing place! Our friends, A & J, live in SoHo, which I just fell in love with. The cobblestone streets, the random sidewalk vendors, the cupcake shops, the proximity to Broadway (that’s where I would want to be haha!)… SoHo was just perfect. While Matt and I stayed in that area together with my friend, Belén, on Sunday, on Saturday we explored all over Manhattan.
A & J were so thoughtful and rented Citibikes for us ahead of time so we could ride all over, rather than taking the train or walking (we do that enough here in Boston). I did my usual thing and, like a true A-Type person, planned my outfits out ahead of time, but didn’t end up wearing my looks because it was SO much chillier than this awful i-phone app predicted (grrrr weather.com!). So this lovely lace top was all I had to keep me warm (it basically failed), but it was ok because we had so much fun exploring anyways! Besides SoHo, my favorite area had to have been Central Park. I totally envisioned myself jogging around, laying out in the summer, taking a random walk with a friend, reading a book on a bench- literally, anything. I just wanted to stay in that park- so beautiful! I do still love getting smashed into the crowd at Times Square, pretending to be a bull near Wall Street, viewing important and historical landmarks, and alllll of the food. Really, I feel like I got the slightest taste of NYC and need to go back, like.. tomorrow!
Matt and I loved seeing old friends and exploring and honestly, if you’ve never been to NYC (then you’re just as sad as I was last week) then you should plan a trip asap! And of course, continue your venture up to Boston after :)

New York City era una bomba (por falta de mejor palabra). Todavía no puedo creer que nunca había estado antes de la semana pasada… que lástima! Me hace pensar en todos los lugares hermosos y padrísimos que todavía no conozco… lo bueno es que tengo toda mi vida para viajar a esos lugares :) Bueno.. sobre NYC… ¡Que ciudad más estupenda! Nuestros amigos, A & J, viven en SoHo y me enamoré de ese vecindario. Entre las calles empedradas, a los vendedores de acera, a las tiendas de magdalenas a la proximidad a la calle Broadway.. diría que SoHo es perfección según yo. Y pasamos mucho tiempo allí el domingo con mi amiguita Belén, pero el sábado fuimos por todas partes de Manhattan en bici.
A & J eran muy amables y pensaron en la idea de andar en bici por Manhattan, para tener más tiempo y evitar el tren. Hice lo que siempre hago… escogí exactamente la ropa que iba a usar en NYC antes de irme, pero pasó que hacía mucho más frío durante todo el día que no pude llevar lo que treje. Por eso, llevo esta camisa de encaje, que me gusta, pero no fue parte de mi plan jaja. Todavía tenía mucho frío todo el día, pero valió la pena porque nos divertimos muchísimo. Además que SoHo, mi lugar favorito es el Parque Central. Veo mi mismo andando en bici, caminando con amigas, corriendo, tomando el sol durante los meses calientes, leyendo un libro… lo que sea! El parque es tan enorme y bello que podría hacer casi todo. También me gustó estar entre la muchedumbre de gente en Times Square, jugando con el toro de Wall Street, admirando la Estatua de la Libertad, el monumento y nuevos edificios del World Trade Center, y toda la comida que comí (tanto comida rica)! De verdad, me siento que sólo vi un poquitititito de NYC y tendré que regresar a ver lo otra vez… como, mañana!
Matt y yo amamos pasar tiempo con amigos viejos y nuevos mientras que explorábamos la ciudad. En serio, si no conoces a NYC, (pobrecito/pobrecita! jaja) debes planear un viaje pronto.. y después viajar aún más norte a Boston :)
